Current Interest Rate: 9.99%
At Woodstock Soapstone we are happy to offer monthly financing
for your stove purchase. Many of our customers find this
easy financing plan to be the best way to get a stove into
their home this season!
We have partnered with Mascoma Savings Bank, an independent
Vermont/New Hampshire community-based bank, to offer this
financing plan. With approved credit and a $250 down payment,
you can have your stove in place for this season, and enjoy
low payments for up to 30 months.
How do I apply for financing?
A credit application is available for download from our website: (Credit
Application).
We can also take your application by phone, just call 1-800-866-4344
between 9 and 5 EST Monday through Saturday to complete an
application over the phone with one of our Customer Service
Representatives.
How much can I finance?
The loan amount will be the price of the stove, less your
$250 deposit. This is typically $1800 to $2300, depending
on the stove and the current price. The bank cannot finance
freight cost or pipe and accessories
Can I finance for shorter than 30 months?
Yes, you can request terms of less than 30 months, or make
larger payments to pay a 30-month loan off sooner without
penalty. Either way, you will reduce the amount of interest
charges you have to pay.
What is the interest rate for this loan?
Normally, the interest rate is 12.25%. However, we sometimes
offer special interest rates as part of a seasonal sale.
See top of page for current rate.
Can I pay the loan off early?
Yes, there are no pre-payment penalties.
After the Completing the application, what happens?
Once we have your completed credit application, it is sent
to the bank to be reviewed and approved. When the bank
responds with approval, we will call or e-mail you to let
you know. At that point, we will fill in any missing details
on the stove order, send you a loan agreement and identity
verification form, and let you know what your final balance
due will be ($250 deposit, freight charges, accessories,
etc.). The loan agreement needs to be signed before a Notary
Public and signed by that Notary and returned with the
other documents. Once we receive the complete paperwork
and your balance due, we ship your stove!
Besides the deposit, are there any “out-of-pocket” costs?
Because the bank only finances the sale price of the stove,
any costs for accessories, pipe, packing and freight do
need to be paid “out-of-pocket“ before shipping.
Your customer service representative will review your stove
order with you and clearly indicate what you will need
to pay outside of the financed amount.
Will I be making payments to Woodstock Soapstone or Mascoma
Savings Bank?
Once you have signed the loan agreement paperwork and
returned it to Woodstock Soapstone, we ship your stove. Then,
Mascoma Savings Bank will sent you their loan instructions
and a payment coupon book. After the initial deposit and
costs paid to Woodstock Soapstone Co., all your payments
will be going to Mascoma Savings Bank.
What if my coupon book doesn’t arrive before my
first payment is due?
Your first payment will be due 30 days from the date
of shipment for your stove. If your coupon book hasn’t
arrived 3 weeks after your stove was shipped, call Woodstock
Soapstone at 1-800-866-4344. We will notify the bank and
make sure that you have the correct address to send the payment
to. The final coupon in the book will instruct you to call
for final payment amount. This is to ensure that you have
an accurate payoff to conclude the loan.
