24” PSE aluminum coated thermocouple is used in the 206 Fireside Franlkin (2005-current), 207 Cottage Franklin, and 208 Mini Franklin Gas Stove.
When the thermocouple heats up it produces an electrical current that keeps a magnet in the control valve open. If the thermocouple is no longer producing an adequate current the gas flow to the pilot is shut off.
